Polish Films at Short Film Corner

Several Polish films will be screened this year at the seventh edition of Short Film Corner in Cannes. Eleven films will be shown in the Polish Shorts section, including Hanoi – Warszawa (Hanoi – Warsaw) by Katarzyna Klimkiewicz, Real by Rafał Samusik, and Ciemnego pokoju nie trzeba się bać by Kuba Czekaj. Brzydkie słowa by Marcin Maziarzewski, winner of the Golden Tadpole award of the Student Film Competition at last year’s Camerimage film festival, and ten other projects from around the world will be shown in the Worldwide Kodak Showcase. Short Film Corner will also screen the documentary Pytanie by Jan Wilkiewicz and Jacek Kiejko.

Short Film Corner in Cannes is one of the world’s key events for short films. Each year SFC is visited by acclaimed directors, agents, producers, and film organizations from around the world. Projects screened at SFC often end up being distributed internationally, while their creators receive a chance to continue their filmmaking career on the international stage.
