Polish Films at the Rome Film Festival

Four Polish films will be screened at this year’s Rome International Film Festival.


My Flesh and Blood (Moja krew) by Marcin Wrona screened on Friday, October 17, and very well received by the festival audience. This film is being shown in the Extra section of the festival. This section focuses on interesting and innovative films from around the world. Another Polish feature, Revisited by Krzysztof Zanussi will be screened on October 22, also in the Extra section.

 

Monday, October 19, will bring a special gala screening of Popiełuszko by Rafał Wieczyński, a film already well-known to Polish audiences. This international premiere of the film is said to be attended by former Polish president Lech Wałęsa.

 

At the New Cinema Network co-production market that takes place during the Rome Film Festival, Adam Guziński will present his latest project entitled Ewa. His feature The Boy on the Galloping Horse will also be presented to the festival audience.

 

The Polish Film Institute is a partner of the New Cinema Network and has granted support for the gala premiere of Popiełuszko.

 

The fourth edition of the Rome International Film Festival will end on October 24.
