Polish Films at Thessaloniki IFF

November 1 marked the launch of the 54th Thessaloniki International Film Festival. The festival lineup features several films co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

Open Horizons

The Open Horizons out-of-competition section of the festival showcases recent films that serve as best examples of the latest trends in world cinema. One of the films selected for screening in this section is Papusza, a film directed by Joanna Kos-Krauze and Krzysztof Krauze and co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

Special Screenings

One of the Special Screenings at this year’s Thessaloniki International Film Festival will be Ida, a film directed by Paweł Pawlikowski and co-financed by the Polish Film Institute. The Special Screenings section will also feature all episodes of Krzysztof Kieślowski’s Dekalog (Decalogue), which first screened in Thessaloniki 18 years ago.

The 54th Thessaloniki International Film Festival runs through November 10.
