Polish Films Awarded in Minsk

Three Polish films co-financed by the Polish Film Institute – j rower (My Father’s Bike) by Piotr Trzaskalski, Paparazzi by Piotr Bernaś and Rozmowa (The Conversation) by Piotr Sułkowski – have received awards at the 19th “Listapad” International Film Festival in Minsk.

Two Awards for Film by Piotr Trzaskalski

Mój rower (My Father’s Bike) by Piotr Trzaskalski received the “Bronze November” Audience Award and the Special Award of the Mayor of Minsk. The film screened in the festival’s Main Competition. The winner of the Main Competition was In the Fog by Sergei Loznitsa.

Paparazzi and The Conversation Voted Best Documentaries

The winner of this year’s Short Documentary Film Competition was Paparazzi by Piotr Bernaś. The film was produced at the Wajda School. The winner of the Best Student Film Competition was Piotr Sułkowski’s Rozmowa (The Conversation), a student film produced at the National Film School in Łódź.

The 19th edition of the “Listapad” International Film Festival ran from November 2 through November 9, 2012 in Minsk.
