Two Polish films are featured in the lineup of the 66th Edinburgh International Film Festival, which runs this year between June 20 and July 1.

The lineup of the 66th Edinburgh IFF features two Polish films” Róża (Rosa) directed by Wojciech Smarzowski and co-financed by the Polish FIlm Institute, and Z daleka widok jest piękny (It Looks Pretty from a Distance), directed by Anka Sasnal and Wilhelm Sasnal. The festival audience will also have an opportunity to see The Fourth Dimension – an international co-production that includes a short film directed by Polish director Jan Kwieciński.

 

 

World Premiere of Katarzyna Klimkiewicz’s Debut Feature

The Edinburgh Film Festival will also mark the world premiere of Flying Blind, the feature debut from Polish director Katarzyna Klimkiewicz. The film is a UK production. Flying Blind is the story of a female aerospace engineer who meets a young Algerian student and becomes involved with him. Their relationship soon becomes serious. She falls for him head over heels, but it turns out that her lover is suspected of having ties with terrorist organizations.
