Polish Films on Festival Scope Website

Festivalscope

Several Polish films will be available for the next three months on Festival Scope, a website dedicated to film festivals, sales agents, and international distributors. Among them are films co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

Six Polish Films on the Festival Scope Website

As a continuation of the Step In Day programme at the Locarno International Film Festival, six Polish films will be available free of charge for three months on the Festival Scope website, a partner of the Step In initiative. Festival Scope is a tool for distributors, sales agents, and film festivals. Films are available on demand. All users interested in viewing a given film have to be approved by the film rights owners.

Films Supported by the Polish Film Institute

The selection of Polish films presented at Festival Scope includes several titles co-financed by the Polish Film Institute: 80 milionów (80 Million) by Waldemar Krzystek, Być jak Kazimierz Deyna (Being Deyna) by Anna Wieczur-Bluszcz, Obława (Manhunt) by Marcin Krzyształowicz, Yuma by Piotr Mularuk, and Mój rower (My Father’s Bike) by Piotr Trzaskalski. Festival Scope will also feature W sypialni (In a Bedroom), the feature debut from director Tomasz Wasilewski.

Step In

The Step In Day conference, dedicated to showcasing the film industry of Eastern European countries, was held on August 5 within the framework of the Industry Days at the 65th Locarno International Film Festival. The Polish Film Institute was one of the organizing partners of this event.

The Step In project is an industry platform for showcasing the latest film productions from our region to international distributors, sales agents, and exhibitors. The event is aimed at supporting promotion and distribution of Polish and other Eastern European films that, in spite of their successes at film festivals abroad, often have difficulty finding international distributors.

The six films are available on the following website: www.festivalscope.com/label/polish-film-institute.
