Polish Producer at Cannes IFF
Polish producer Marta Plucińska is one of this year’s participants in the “Producers on the Move” programme that will take place during the 65th Cannes International Film Festival.
13th Edition of “Producers on the Move”
The 13th edition of the “Producers on the Move”, organized in Cannes by the European Film Promotion with support from the MEDIA programme, will be attended by 25 young European producers. The programme is aimed at networking among people that have an increasing influence on European cinema.
Consulting with Specialists
Participants will meet with industry professionals, including representatives of film funds and the media. They will also have an opportunity to discuss new projects. This may lead to interesting international co-productions. The wide network of the MEDIA programme will enable these young producers to consult with specialists who are involved with interesting film projects.
Marta Plucińska, producer of such films as Mój rower (My Father’s Bike) by Piotr Trzaskalski and Droga do raju (Earthly Paradise) by Gerwazy Reguła, is not the first Polish producer to be invited to participate in “Producers on the Move”. Previous Polish participants were Łukasz Dzięcioł at last year’s edition, and Kamila Polit in 2010.
The “Producers on the Move” programme will run from May 19 through May 22, held during the 65th edition of the Cannes International Film Festival.
