Polish Women in Film
A film series entitled ‘Different Ages, Different Voices: Polish Women in Film’ will launch on November 21 in New York City. The event has been co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.
Films About Women
From November 21 through November 24, NYC audiences will have an opportunity to see a number Polish films about women. The lineup features Bejbi Blues (Baby Blues) by Katarzyna Rosłaniec, Kobieta samotna (A Woman Alone) by Agnieszka Holland, Flying Blind by Katarzyna Klimkiewicz, W imię… (In the Name Of…) by Małgorzata Szumowska, Gdzie jest Sonia? (Where Is Sonia?) by Radka Franczak, Siedem kobiet w różnym wieku and Pierwsza miłość, both by Krzysztof Kieślowski, as well as Z miasta Łodzi and Żeby nie bolało by Marcel Łoziński. The showcase will take place at the Tribeca Film Center and at MoMa.
