"Rogalik" Recognized at ZagrebDox

Rogalik by Paweł Ziemilski received special recognition in the young filmmaker section of the 9th ZagrebDox International Documentary Film Festival.

Polish Film Among Winning Titles

Jury members: Dick Fontaine (NFTS, Beaconsfield), Polish director Marta Minorowicz and Croatian filmmaker Tonći Gaćina awarded Rogalik special recognition in the young cinema section of the festival, which showcases films by directors under the age of 35. The top prize in this section (Little Stamp) went to Turn Off the Lights by Ivana Mladenović. The Romanian film 24 Buckets, 7 Mice, 18 Years by Marius Iacob also received special recognition.

Young Polish Filmmakers Recognized in Zagreb

This is the fourth consecutive award of the ZagrebDox festival given to a young Polish filmmaker. At the sixth edition of ZagrebDox, Wojciech Kasperski’s Otchłań (Chasm) received the Little Stamp award for best young documentary filmmaker. In 2011, the Little Stamp award went to the documentary Smolarze (Charcoal Burners) by Piotr Złotorowicz, while in 2012 Marta Minorowicz and her film Decrescendo received special recognition.
