"Rosa" and "Courage" in Brussels

Róża (Rosa) by Wojciech Smarzowski and Wymyk (Courage) by Greg Zglinski will screen at the Brussels International Film Festival, which runs from June 8 through June 18, 2012. Both films were co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

Polish Films in Brussels

Róża (Rosa) by Wojciech Smarzowski and Wymyk (Courage) by Greg Zglinski are featured in the lineup of the 10th Brussels International Film Festival. Smarzowski’s latest film will screen in Main Competition, while Zglinski’s Courage is one of the Panorama films. Both films will also screen on June 11 as part of the “Polish Night”. The two films were co-financed by the Polish Film Institute. 

 

 

 

Screenings at the Brussels IFF mark yet another in a series of international film festivals for each of the two films.

 

Rosa is currently screening at the Berdyansk IFF in Ukraine (May 25 to June 3), and will soon be shown at the Brooklyn Film Festival (June 1 to June 10), the Brussels IFF (June 8 to June 16), the Trencianskie Teplice IFF (June 16 to June 23), the Cinepolitica IFF in Bucharest (June 15 to June 21), and the Edinburgh IFF (June 20 to July 1).

The Brussels International Film Festival

The Brussels IFF has been an annual event for the past ten years. The festival is aimed at showcasing new films that are made throughout Europe each year. This year’s festival lineup features over 50 films. Screenings will be accompanied by Q&A sessions with filmmakers and master classes with Peter Greenaway, Jean-Michel Bernard, and Peter Aalbaek.
