"Rosa" Awarded in France

Róża (Rosa), a film directed by Wojciech Smarzowski and co-financed by the Polish Film Institute, received the Grand Prize at the War on Screen festival, which just had its first edition in Châlons-en-Champagne, France.

Grand Prize Goes to Polish Feature

The War on Screen festival is dedicated to films that address the issue of war and combat. Róża (Rosa) was awarded by jury members: actress Hiam Abbass (head of the jury), composer Cliff Martinez, Agence France Presse (AFP) journalist Sylvain Estibal, Le Monde correspondent Rémy Ourdan, and Canal+ Cinéma representative Yvan Guyot. The Main Competition lineup featured ten films from around the world, including the Israeli production Room 514 and the German-Korean documentary Camp 14: Total Control Zone.
