Fabicki starts shooting "Love"

Sławomir Fabicki, Polish director of the acclaimed Z odzysku (Retrieval) starts shooting his second feature, Love.

 

Fabicki has co-written the script, about marriage crisis of a 30-year-old couple. Starring Marcin Dorociński (Rosa by Wojciech Smarzowski) and Julia Kijowska (In Darkness by Agnieszka Holland).

 

Love tells the story of a complicated relationship between a 30-year-old couple who seemingly has everything to be happy. Both of them are successful at work, having their apartment decorated, expecting a baby. It seems as if nothing can spoil their marriage. However, Maria is not revealing some shocking happening that will change both her and her relationship. The love of those two will face a long-term trial.

 

The cast also includes: Adam Woronowicz (Ki by Leszek Dawid), Agata Kulesza (Suicide room by Jan Komasa), Marian Dziędziel (The Mole by Rafael Lewandowski).

 

The film is scheduled to begin shooting in Warsaw, Sept 7 – Oct 20.

 

Fabicki’s first feature Retrieval in 2006 was the Polish candidate for the Academy Awards in the Best Foreign Language Film category, nominated to the European Film Awards, received special mention of Ecumenical Jury of Un Certain Regard at Cannes.

 

Love is produced by Odeon Rybarczyk Productions and co-produced by Anagram Film with backing from the Polish Film Institute. Polish theatrical distribution will be handled by Elias Sp. z o.o.
