"The Word" Supported by Eurimages

Słowo (The Word), a Polish-Danish co-production directed by Anna Kazejak, received financial support from the Eurimages Fund. The film is co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

21 Co-Productions

The Eurimages Fund agreed to support 21 European co-productions for a total amount of 6,710,000 euros. One of these 21 projects is Słowo (The Word), a Polish-Danish co-production directed by Anna Kazejak [Skrzydlate świnie (Flying Pigs), Oda do radości (Ode to Joy)]. The film received 200,000 euros in financing.

Słowo (The Word)

Słowo (The Word) is a psychological drama about the teenage love of Lila and Janek. The film is set in Szczecin. The script, which was a finalist in the 2013 Script Pro Screenwriting Competition, was written by Anna Kazejak and Magnus von Horn. Shooting began on June 25 in Szczecin. The film is produced by Opus Film and co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

Eurimages

Eurimages is the Council of Europe fund for supporting co-production, distribution and exhibition of European audiovisual works; 36 European countries are currently member states. Poland has been a member since 1991. Since the launch of the programme in 1988, Eurimages has supported 1522 European co-productions for a total amount of 462 million euros.
