Third Edition of filmPOLSKA Munchen

November 27, 2013 marks the launch of the third edition of the filmPOLSKA München festival in Munich. The event has been co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

Films Supported by the Polish Film Institute in Festival Lineup

The festival will open with a screening of Płynące wieżowce (Floating Skyscrapers), a film directed by Tomasz Wasilewski. Munich audiences will also have an opportunity to see several other recent Polish features, including Dziewczyna z szafy (The Girl from the Wardrobe) by Bodo Kox, Jesteś Bogiem (You’re a God) by Leszek Dawid, Bejbi Blues (Baby Blues) by Katarzyna Rosłaniec, W imię… (In the Name Of…) by Małgorzata Szumowska, Obława (Manhunt) by Marcin Krzyształowicz, and Beats of Freedom – Zew wolności by Leszek Gnoiński and Wojciech Słota. The festival lineup also features Roman Polański’s Nóż w wodzie (Knife in the Water), Grzegorz Zariczny’s Gwizdek (The Whistle), and Maciej Kowalewski’s Trzy siostry T (Three Sisters T).

Q&A Sessions with Filmmakers

This year’s edition of the festival will feature post-screening Q&A sessions with a number of filmmakers and actors, including Bodo Kox, Mateusz Banasiuk, Marcin Kowalczyk, and Magdalena Berus.

Festival Supported by the Polish Film Institute

The festival was organized by the Ahoj Nachbarn Association, which is aimed at strengthening the cultural dialogue between Germany and Eastern European countries. FilmPolska München was co-organized by the Polish Institute in Berlin, and co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.
