"Tomorrow Will Be Better" in Japan

Jutro będzie lepiej (Tomorrow Will Be Better) by Dorota Kędzierzawska was released in cinemas across Japan on January 26, 2013. The film had been co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

Three homeless Russian boys, living in a train station, decide to venture into the world, crossing borders – both metaphorically and literally. As most children, they are naive and mischievous. They search for the place where their greatest dreams, however simple, can come true. They search for a different life in a better world. An extraordinary journey by three little heroes. The great little heroes of our strange times.

Polish-Japanese Co-Production Supported by the Polish Film Institute

Jutro będzie lepiej (Tomorrow Will Be Better) was produced by Kid Film, and is a Polish-Japanese co-production, co-financed by the Polish Film Institute. The film was written and directed by Dorota Kędzierzawska. The cinematographer and production designer was Arthur Reinhart.

Two Awards at Berlinale

Jutro będzie lepiej (Tomorrow Will Be Better) has won a significant number of awards at film festivals in Poland and abroad, including the Berlin Film Festival (the award for Best Film in the Grand Prix Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk section and the Peace Film Award), and festivals in Madrid, Orenburg, Thessaloniki, and Poznań (award of the children’s jury and special mention of the adult jury at the 29th Ale Kino! Festival of Films for Young Audiences).
