The international jury selected Żywie Biełaruś (Viva Bel@rus!) as the winner of the Best Screenplay Award; the screenplay was written by Krzysztof Łukaszewicz and Franak Viačorka. The winner of the Best Film Award was the Franco-German co-production Michael Kohlhaas, directed by Arnaud des Pallières.

Both films screened in the Panorama section of the festival. All four Polish films screening at the 11th Brussels Film Festival have been co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.
