We know the Polish Days 2020 program
Six completed films, eight as part of the „Works in Progress” presentation and 10 projects in the development stage appear in the Polish Days 2020 program. This is one of the most important industry events in Poland. This year’s edition of the event, co-organized by the Polish Film Institute, will take place online from July 27-29.
Although the New Horizons festival, which organizes Polish Days, has been moved to November 2020, the July edition, thanks to the online platform, will be attended by about 100 guests from abroad, including selectors of many international festivals, sales agents, distributors and film producers.
This year, six finished productions will be presented during Polish Days. These are: „25 years of innocence” (dir. Jan Holoubek), „Dear ones” (dir. Grzegorz Jaroszuk), „Magnesia” (dir. Maciek Bochniak), „The Last Comers” (dir. Dawid Nickel), „Simple things” (dir. Grzegorz Zariczny) and „Sweat” (dir. Magnus von Horn). In turn, as part of „Works in Progress” eight films will be presented: „The Master” (dir. Maciej Barczewski), „Autumn Girl” (dir. Katarzyna Klimkiewicz), „Prime Time” (dir. Jakub Piątek), „Wiarołom” (dir. Piotr Złotorowicz), „The balcony movie. Step into my frame” (dir. Paweł Łoziński), „Anatomy” (dir. Ola Jankowska), „Somehow it will be “(dir. Sylwester Jakimow) and „The only genre of a kind” (dir. Piotr Chrzan).
10 projects will be presented in the form of pitching: „Fucking Bornholm” (dir. Anna Kazejak), „Śubuk” (dir. Jacek Lusiński), „Kozia Góra” (dir. Andrzej Jakimowski), „Zakopane Gentlemen” (dir. Maciej Kawalski), „Sorry, Poland” (dir. Kuba Czekaj), „Norwegian Dream” (dir. Igor Devold), „Wabik” (dir. Maciej Mądracki, Michał Mądracki, Gilles Lepore), „Until the heart burns” (dir. Agnieszka Mania) , „Matecznik” (dir. Grzegorz Mołda) and „All our fears” (dir. Łukasz Ronduda).
About Polish Days
Polish Days is the most important industry event of the New Horizons International Film Festival, organized since 2013 in association with the Polish Film Institute. As part of it, representatives of the industry from around the world will learn about the latest Polish cinema at every stage of production at closed film screenings. They watch ready films and film fragments in the post-production stage, listen to the presentation of projects in Production stage. Polish Days is a great opportunity for producers and creators to promote their projects and find foreign partners. In the selection process, the organizers choose the most interesting films made on the Polish market. Among the projects presented in previous years were: „Corpus Christi”, „Sweet end of the day”, „Monument”, „Dark, almost night”, ‘Panic attack’, „Silent night”, „Pokot” or „Last Family”.
