Zanussi Now an EFA Board Member

Director Krzysztof Zanussi has been named a member of the board of the European Film Academy.

The new Board, elected for a period of two years, was announced in Berlin at the 24th European Film Awards ceremony. Zanussi was one of twelve candidates from Eastern and Southeastern Europe.

The European Film Academy has over 2,500 members among film industry professionals. EFA is aimed at promoting European cinema. Every year, the Academy organizes the European Film Awards. German director Wim Wenders is acting EFA chairman.
