Polish Films in Lineup at 46th IFF of India

Several Polish films will screen at the 46th International Film Festival of India in Goa, which runs from November 20 through November 30, 2015.

New Polish Films in Lineup

This year’s festival audience will have an opportunity to see such recent Polish films as Body/Ciało (Body) by Małgorzata Szumowska and Carte Blanche by Jacek Lusiński, both co-financed by the Polish Film Institute. Audiences in Goa will also have an opportunity to see Pod elektrycznymi chmurami (Under Electric Clouds), a Russian-Ukrainian-Polish co-production directed by Alexey German Jr. and featuring Piotr Gąsowski in a supporting role. The festival lineup also features Klezmer by first-time director Piotr Chrzan, which will screen in the First Cut section.

The International Film Festival of India

The International Film Festival of India in Goa is one of the key film events in Asia. The festival is focused on showcasing major film trends in world cinema. At the 41st edition of the festival, Polish actress Magdalena Boczarska received the Best Actress award for her performance in Różyczka (Little Rose) by Jan Kidawa-Błoński, while in 2012 the award for Best Actor went to Marcin Dorociński for his performance in Wojciech Smarzowski’s Róża (Rosa).
