"Corpus Christi" on Oscar’s Shortlist
"Corpus Christi", a film directed by Jan Komasa and co-financed by the Polish Film Institute is one of ten titles shortlisted for nominations in the Academy Awards' International Feature Film category.
Polish films at the 31st IFF in Palm Springs
Co-financed by the Polish Film Institute, the films 'Corpus Christi', 'Mr. Jones', 'Sole' and 'Adventures of a Mathematician' were included in the program of the 31st International Palm Springs Film Festival. "Adventures of a Mathematician" screening at the festival will be its world premiere.

Co-financed by the Polish Film Institute Jan Komasa’s film „Corpus Christi” has already been sold to 45 territories to date including North America when it will be released on February 19th.

Premiere of "Acid Rain" by Tomek Popakul at Vimeo
"Acid Rain" directed by Tomek Popakul - one of the most awarded short animated films of the year, co-financed by the Polish Film Institute and produced by Animoon, on November 18 it premiered on the Vimeo platform to the curatorial Staff Pick section. The film will be available on Vimeo for six months.

On Saturday the 27th edition of the International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography EnergaCAMERIMAGE was officially opened in the CKK Jordanki Festival Centre in Toruń. Festival is supported by the Polish Film Institute.
"Ein Sommer" – Filming Has Started On The Polish Coast
The shooting of the German film "Ein Sommer" has begun at the beginning of October. The German-Polish film crew will work in the Tri-City and around Łeba for a month and a half. The production uses Polish 30% cash rebate scheme.

"Corpus Christi" picked up by Film Movement for North America
Jan Naszewski’s New Europe Film Sales announced that the North American rights to Jan Komasa’s Venice and TIFF drama “Corpus Christi” were sold to Film Movement. The deal was concluded with Film Movement’s President, Michael Rosenberg, at the MIA market in Rome ahead of AFM. The film will be featured at the Deadline Contenders event on Nov 2nd and it is Poland’s submission to this year’s International Oscar race.

Polish animations co-financed by the Polish Film Institute "Acid Rain" and "Portrait of Suzanne" were among the films that can apply for an Oscar® nomination in the category of Best Animated Short Film 2020. The minority co-production "The Kite" also has a chance to be nominated.

Co-financed by the Polish Film Institute, the full-length directors' debuts "Supernova" and "The Coldest Game" will be shown in competitions at the 23rd Black Nights' Festival in Tallinn.
