POLISH FILMS IN THE COMPETITIONS OF 42nd IFF IN MONTREAL
The productions co-financed by the Polish Film Institute will be screened during the 42nd Montreal World Film Festival.

Applications are now welcome for the 13th FIPRESCI Warsaw Critics Project – a training programme for young critics and film journalists from Central and Eastern Europe coordinated by the Warsaw Film Foundation and FIPRESCI, the International Federation of Film Critics.
Polish Days 2018: Awarded Projects
Polish Days co-organized by the Polish Film Institute are the most important industry event of New Horizons International Film Festival, where industry representatives including programmers, sales agents, producers, film funds and distributors from all over the world meet to watch the latest Polish films at closed screenings. This year's edition of Polish Days took place on July 30 - August 1.
43rd Polish Film Festival. Films in the Competitions
Sixteen full-length feature films have been accepted for the Main Competition of the 43rd PFF. They will compete over the Golden Lions and Silver Lions as well as other competition and out-of-competition awards. In the Visions Apart Competition, where the Golden Claw is awarded, seven films have been accepted.

On July 24th , the government adopted a draft law on supporting audiovisual production. PISF - Polish Film Institute will financially support the production of audiovisual works created in Poland.

Polish co-production "Kawki na drodze" (Winter Flies) with awards in Karlovy Vary
Co-financed by the Polish Film Institute, the picture "Winter Flies" directed by Olmo Omerzu received two awards at the 53rd International Film Festival in Karlovy Vary. This is Czech-Slovenian-Polish-Slovak production. The film's Polish producer is Natalia Grzegorzek from Koskino.

Registration for Warsaw Kids Film Forum 2018 is opened. The 2nd edition of the international pitching forum for films and series for the young spectator will take place on September 26-28, 2018 in Warsaw during the 5th Kids Film Festival.

XXVI edition of the International Animated Film Workshop will be held from 7th to 16th September. The practical part of the workshop will take place in the picturesque village of Lanckorona (approx. 25 km from Krakow). Some part of the workshop events will be held in Krakow.
