The 43rd International Film Festival of India will run from November 20 through November 30, 2012. The festival's FilmBazaar market will feature a number of Polish-Indian film projects. The festival lineup features several Polish films co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

French Music Prize for Mykietyn

Composer Paweł Mykietyn received the Prix France Musique Sacem 2012 award for the original score of Essential Killing, directed by Jerzy Skolimowski. The film was co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

Polish Triumph in Cottbus

Polish films co-financed by the Polish Film Institute received a total of five awards at the 22nd Cottbus International Film Festival. The winner of the festival's Grand Prize is Dzień kobiet (Women's Day) by Maria Sadowska.

Julia Kijowska Awarded in Greece

Julia Kijowska received the Best Actress award at the 53rd Thessaloniki International Film Festival for her performance in Miłość (Loving) by Sławomir Fabicki. The film was co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

Indian Film Week in Warsaw

November 5, 2012 brought the gala opening ceremony of the Indian Film Week at Warsaw's Kultura cinema. The Indian Film Week is an event that celebrates 100 years of Indian filmmaking, organized by the Embassy of India, the Polish Filmmakers Association and the Polish Film Institute.

Nomination for "Argentinian Lesson"
