"Weightlifter" with a chance to be nominated for the European Film Award

The jury of the International Short Film Festival in Drama (Greece) selected the film "Weightlifter" (dir. Dmytro Sukholytkyy-Sobchuk) for the European Film Award in the category of Best Short Film. The film was made in the Munk Studio and is co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

JAN KOMASA’S "CORPUS CHRISTI" SELECTED AS POLAND'S OSCAR CANDIDATE

The Oscar Committee comprised of members of the Polish film industry and the Polish Film Institute, including Ewa Puszczyńska (chairwoman), Radosław Śmigulski, Łukasz Żal, Mariusz Łukomski, Jan A.P. Kaczmarek, Anna Zamecka oraz Małgorzata Szczepkowska-Kalemba has selected CORPUS CHRISTI (BOŻE CIAŁO) by Jan Komasa, to be Poland's candidate for this year's Academy Awards in the International Feature Film category.

"Corpus Christi" in the Giornate Degli Autori Competition at the IFF in Venice and TIFF

Co-financed by the Polish Film Institute, the latest film by Jan Komasa "Corpus Christi" was qualified to the Giornate degli Autori competition at the Venice International Film Festival. Shortly after the world premiere in Venice, the latest works by the creators of "Warsaw 44" and "Suicide Room" will be presented at the Toronto International Film Festival in the category of Contemporary World Cinema.
