Polish Film Wins Audience Award

The Audience Award for Best Film in Tampere (Finland) went to Łukasz Ostalski, author of the short film Matka (Mother). The film screened in International Competition at the 43rd Tampere International Short Film Festival in Finland.

"Entangled" Awarded in Prague

On March 12, the documentary Uwikłani (Entangled) by Lidia Duda received the Best Director award at the 15th One World festival in Prague. The grand prize in the festival's competition went to The Act of Killing by Joshua Oppenheimer. The awards ceremony will be held on March 13.

Ve stínu (Polish title: W cieniu, English title: In the Shadow), directed by David Ondříček and made in co-production between the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia, received a total of nine 2012 Czech Lion awards. The film had been co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

"Warsaw 1935" Press Conference
