Nominations for the 90th Academy Awards were announced on January 23. Twój Vincent (Loving Vincent), a film directed by Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welchman and co-financed by the Polish Film Institute, received a nomination for Best Animated Film.

"Dovlatov" in Main Competition at 68th Berlin IFF

The first titles in the lineup of the Main Competition at the upcoming 68th Berlin International Film Festival were announced on December 18. Among them is the world premiere of Dovlatov, a Russian-Polish-Serbian co-production directed by Alexey German Jr. The film was co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

On December 9 in Berlin the 2017 European Film Awards ceremony was held. Komunia (Communion) by Anna Zamecka and Twój Vincent (Loving Vincent) by Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welchman, films co-financed by the Polish Film Institute received awards. The Award for European Costume Designer went to Katarzyna Lewińska.

30th European Film Awards

The 2017 European Film Awards ceremony will take place on December 9 in Berlin. Polish costume designer Katarzyna Lewińska will receive the Award for European Costume Designer. Two films co-financed by the Polish Film Institute, Komunia (Communion) by Anna Zamecka and Twój Vincent (Loving Vincent) by Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welchman are in the running for this year's awards.
