Planned for February 11, 2019, the start of the call for financial support applications, submitted pursuant to the Act of 9 November 2018 on financial support of audiovisual production, will take place only after the entry into force of the Regulation of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, issued on the basis of the Act.

"Cold War" became the Best European Film and "Another Day of Life" is the Best Feature Animated Film. The Goya Awards are the most important Spanish film awards awarded since 1987 by the Spanish Academy of Film Art.

"Mr. Jones", the latest film by director Agnieszka Holland, will have its world premiere at the 69th Berlin International Film Festival, screening in Main Competition. The film is co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

Co-financed by the Polish Film Institute "Cold War" by Paweł Pawlikowski was chosen the best European film by the Catalan Film Academy.

"Cold War" nominated for the 91st Academy Awards in three categories! Co-financed by the Polish Film Institute, the film will compete for Oscars in the categories of Best Foreign Language Film, Best Director and Best Cinematography. Nominees were announced on January 22, the winners will be announced on February 24, 2019.

The program of the French festival Les Arcs included a special section devoted to Polish cinematography.
"Cold War" a big winner at the 31st EFA’s Awards. "Another Day of Life" Best European Animation
December 15 marked the European Film Awards ceremony in Seville. "Cold War" won five awards, alongside for the Best European Film! The Best European Animated Feature Film award went to the animation feature "Another Day of Life" by Damian Nenow and Raul de la Fuente. Both films were co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

Dawid Ogrodnik is one of ten European actors selected as the 2019 Shooting Stars. The actor was nominated for the title by the Polish Film Institute.
