KATARZYNA LEWIŃSKA WINS EUROPEAN FILM AWARD
The first winners of the 2017 European Film Awards were announced on November 14, 2017. The winner of the award for European Costume Designer is Katarzyna Lewińska for her work on Pokot (Spoor).

POLISH FILMS WIN SEVEN AWARDS IN COTTBUS

Pokot (Spoor), a film directed by Agnieszka Holland and co-financed by the Polish Film Institute, was released theatrically in Spain on November 10, 2017.
"Communion" Nominated For European Film Award
On November 4, nominations for the 2017 European Film Awards were announced in Seville. Among the five nominated documentary films from across Europe is Komunia (Communion), a film directed by Anna Zamecka and co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.
"Hatred" Awarded At Waterloo Historical Film Festival
Wołyń (Hatred), a film directed by Wojciech Smarzowski and co-financed by the Polish Film Institute, received three awards at the Waterloo Historical Film Festival in Belgium.

On October 24, 2017 European Film Academy announced nominees for the European Film Award in Animated Feature Film category. One of nominated films is Twój Vincent (Loving Vincent) by Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welchman, co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

Polish Film Week in Tokyo
