Polish Triumph in Cottbus
Polish films co-financed by the Polish Film Institute received a total of five awards at the 22nd Cottbus International Film Festival. The winner of the festival's Grand Prize is Dzień kobiet (Women's Day) by Maria Sadowska.
Julia Kijowska Awarded in Greece
Julia Kijowska received the Best Actress award at the 53rd Thessaloniki International Film Festival for her performance in Miłość (Loving) by Sławomir Fabicki. The film was co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

Nomination for "Argentinian Lesson"
On November 2, the nominations for the prestigious Cinema Eye Honors awards for documentary filmmakers were announced in Los Angeles. One of the key nominated titles is Argentyńska lekcja (Argentinian Lesson) by Wojciech Staroń. The film was co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.
Indian Film Week in Warsaw
November 5, 2012 brought the gala opening ceremony of the Indian Film Week at Warsaw's Kultura cinema. The Indian Film Week is an event that celebrates 100 years of Indian filmmaking, organized by the Embassy of India, the Polish Filmmakers Association and the Polish Film Institute.
