A presentation of Film Commission Poland was held at Warsaw's Kultura cinema on June 18, 2013. Film Commission Poland is a joint initiative of several organizations, including the Polish Film Institute.
"Baby Blues" Wins CICAE Award
Bejbi Blues (Baby Blues), directed by Katarzyna Rosłaniec and co-financed by the Polish Film Institute, received two awards at the 29th Festroia International Film Festival in Setúbal, Portugal. The festival closed on June 16.
"Ab-ovo" Awarded in Annecy
Ab-ovo, directed by Anita Kwiatkowska-Naqvi and co-financed by the Polish Film Institute, received the award for Best Graduation Film at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival, which closed on June 15.
Polish Animations Awarded in Egypt
Polish animated films received two awards at the 16th Ismaila International Festival for Documentaries & Shorts in Egypt. The event ran from June 4 through June 9.
"Fuck For Forest" Receives Special Mention
Michał Marczak's documentary Fuck For Forest received special mention in the Sheffield Green Award competition at the 19th Sheffield Doc/Fest International Documentary Film Festival, which closed on June 16. The film had been co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.
Polish Films in Taipei
Several Polish films co-financed by the Polish Film Institute will screen in competition and out of competition at the 15th Taipei International Film Festival, which runs from June 28 through July 20, 2013.
"Ziegenort" Wins at Brooklyn FF
Tomasz Popakul's Ziegenort received the award for Best Animated Film at the 16th Brooklyn Film Festival, which closed on June 9.

Niedźwiedź władca gór (Lord of the Carpathians), directed by Krystian Matysek, received the Best Documentary Award at the 19th Envirofilm International Environmental Film Festival in Banská Bystrica, which closed on June 8.
